Three SSC teams traveled to Tulsa this past weekend to play in the Tulsa Blitz Invitational.
The 92/93 White girls went to Tulsa and had a very good experience at their first tournament out of town. Although they went 0-3 they enjoyed playing out of town teams and improved greatly throughout the weekend.
The 93/94 Boys went 4-0 and ran away with the championship title in Tulsa. They played in a 5 team bracket and won all four games with the full amount of points possible. Another rumor is that they even got a photo taken with Sammy Haggar at the hotel on Saturday night. Well done boys!!!
SSC 96/97 Girls went to Tulsa looking to rebound from a tough weekend at the LCS Fall Classic. Boy did they!! Going 3-0 in bracket play moved them into the semi finals againt Tulsa Soccer Club. The girls were able to beat TSC 2-0 to earn a spot in their first ever finals match against Extreme FC from Oklahoma. They ended up finishing second after a hard fought 1-0 loss in the finals. The girls played hard all weekend and were rewarded by earning the spot in the finals and getting 2nd place! Good job girls!!!
