Still some dancing going on for some SSC alumni

Well after a weekend of tournament action some SSC alumni have moved on and some were sent home thinking about next year.

Karissa Nedoma and the Drury Panthers have moved onto the sweet sixteen in DII. They beat conference foe SIU-Edwardsville in the second round to earn a spot in the sweet sixteen and now they will face off again #1 Grand Valley State from Michigan. Best of luck to the Lady Panthers!!

Luke Prater and the Wartburg Knights lost in their match against UW-Oshkosh and Luke finished off a very solid season with the Knights. He was named to the All IIAC 2nd team as a freshamn and was a starter for the Knights all year long.

Patrick Carver at Emory in Atlanta lost in their second round matchup against Redlands from California. Carver capped off a strong year by being named the UAA conference Player of the Year. The UAA boasts some of the best teams in DIII soccer and this is a big accomplishment for Carver.

Josh Florez at Washington University(MO) enjoyed the most success this past weekend in Whitewater, Wisconsin. WashU beat UW-Whitewater and then defeated Dominican from Chicago in the 2nd round. Next up for WashU and Florez is Transylvania(PA). WashU are hosting the sectional matches in St Louis this weekend. So if you have some time on your hands and want to see some very top notch soccer travel on up and catch the games.

Kate Brooks at William Jewell in KC have earned a spot in the NAIA national tournament as a #6 seed. Play begins Friday for the Cardinals as they will play Northwood from Florida. Good luck to the Cardinals and Katie!!
